Join us for a different kind of hackathon: we will code and build apps with the aim to publish them plus StartMeUp Ryerson will be on site to help show you how to turn your hacks into real businesses.
Get Started Now
If you already have a Windows 8 app that you are working on, bring it to the hackathon. If you haven’t started yet, there are lots of resources and tools at dev.windows.com. You can also find more resources available to students at blogs.msdn.com/b/cdnstudents.
Experts on Site
Regardless of the stage your app is in, members from Three Red Cubes will be on hand. They will also provide a general overview of app development on Friday, Feb 8 before the hackathon begins.
StartMeUp business consultants will also be present to guide you with your commercialization effort.
Two Xboxes are up for grabs for the best apps to come out of the project, and if this wasn’t enough, Microsoft is also sponsoring a $500 draw for apps that are published within a month of the event!
Friday 8th Feb, 5pm to 10pm: installfest, introductory presentations, team formation
Saturday 9th Feb, 9am to 10pm: hackathon, guidance sessions with mentors
Sunday 10th Feb, 9am to 5pm: hackathon, judging and awards
We’ll have great food, snacks and coffee to keep you energized.
